- 8 large beaten eggs
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 orange juice
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 1/2 cups boiled milk, cooled
- 12 cups of flour
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 tablespoon of water
Steps to prepare Easter (Ukrainian Easter Bread)
- Stir the sugar into the boiling water. Sprinkle the yeast over the sugar water and mix carefully. Allow to stand for 10-15 minutes until boiling.
- Beat the butter and sugar with a planetary mixer. Add the eggs and continue to beat until well combined and foamy again.
- Add the juices, zest and salt to the mixture and stir until the mixture is smooth. Add the boiled milk, continue to mix until well combined and smooth. Add 4 cups of flour and mix well. Add the yeast mixture and stir until well combined.
- If you have a dough hook for your mixer, add it now. Gradually add the rest of the flour until a good and homogeneous bread dough is obtained. It should feel just a little sticky, not super sticky and not exactly DRY.
- Place the dough on a floured work surface and knead for a few minutes. The dough should be smooth, elastic and, if kneaded enough, no longer sticky.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl or bowl, cover with cling film and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. When the dough has doubled in size, gently press it into the medium and let it rise for another hour.

- Preheat oven to 350°F. After the final sourdough is ready, cover the entire top of each loaf with beaten egg. Bake the sandwiches for 10 minutes. Without opening the oven door, reduce the heat to 180 ° C and cook for another 40 minutes.
- Allow the paska to cool for 10-15 minutes (if you can tolerate the preservative), then carefully remove from the baking sheets and transfer to a wire rack or wooden cutting board to cool further.
As you gain experience and confidence, you'll find yourself cooking more and more and adapting to your personal preferences while you're away. If you prefer more or fewer ingredients, or if you want to give a recipe a little more or less spicy flavor, you can make a few simple changes to achieve this. In other words, you'll start creating your own meals from time to time.
